Inverted Roofs for concrete slabs
Inverted Roofs System / Full Spec
we can customize the complete system to suit the architects and clients requirements as needed
Process Concrete slab applications
this can be done on new slabs and on revamp of existing slabs.
This system is FULLY BONDED.
We do not do the actual slab and building up of the concrete slab that would be the builders/developers scope of works.
Advantages – it protects the waterproofing layer (the buried system does not require 3-yearly service intervals), insulates the building structure very well and is extremely pleasing to the eye

Step 1
- In this case it was deemed that the existing torchon was beyond repair and it was stripped and removed off site
2
Step 2
- Clean and prep and install 1 x layer bitumen primer coating to ensure a dust free surface and to allow proper bonding of the torchon layer. Allow to dry 20 minutes
3
Step 3
- 1 x layer CG3 Derbigum torchon layer including full cover on parapet walls
4
Step 4
- 1 x layer CG4 Derbigum torchon layer including parapet walls

Drainage points/full bores/side outlets must be a minimum of 110mm pipes.
All drainage to be dressed and sealed as per specifications

Step 6
Counter flashings are installed at all upturns on feature walls as per manufacturers specification, this includes a 100mm membrane using Bondflex/Plasticrly or Bondcryl.
7
Step 7
1 x layer protective aluminium coating is applied as the final coating to ensure longevity and protection from our African sun. Allow to cure for 4 full days before the start of the inverted application
8
Step 8
1 x layer 40mm 32DV Multidex insulation panel, the specifications are available on request, we have found this is best suited for our climate and weather conditions. As per usual we are able to customize the properties of the insulation panels based on the clients and architects needs and specifications
9
Step 9
1 x layer Bidm cloth or dimpled drainage system as needed
10
Step 10
1 x layer 19mm crushed stone at an average depth of 50mm, the stone is the ballast that keeps the panels in place in the most severe of storms
