Process Low Pitched Metal Roofs

Step 1
- Prep and clean, treat rust as needed and secure roof anchors

Step 2
1 x layer 25mm 15DV Multidex insulation panels (EPS product), we are the only installer of this product as it has a fire retardant and fire rating.
We can customize the insulation panels to suit specific insulation and noise requirements as needed by the client.

Step 3
- 1x 3.2mm Multidex support panel, this is to strengthen the system and to provide a flat smooth surface for the application of the torchon waterproofing layer.

Step 4
The support panel as well as the insulation panel is secured to the existing metal sheeting with 75mm fasteners and 56mm polycarbonate fire resistant Multidex washers, please note that our specific washer is branded under our specifications. This is secured at a rate of 6 fasteners per flat sqm.

Step 5
- Gutter junction is cut back to the backend of the existing gutters installed to allow for the installation of the Multidex galvanized flashing to ensure a secure and sealable bend into the gutter junction, this eliminates the back flow of storm water into the building structure.

Step 6
1 x layer of the 4mm torchon system is installed over the above layers, the application of the torchon is either Derbigum, ThermoDual and Torch Dual. All of the torchons are supplied by the longest standing suppliers in South Africa and we have their full backing. We have been approved applicators of the torchons since 1982. The torchon’s are gas welded to ensure a good and proper seal throughout.

- 1 x layer protective aluminium coating is applied as the final coating to ensure longevity and protection from our African sun
